MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

To provide CHAMPS (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product and Speed of Service) to customers and to expedite products of the Company in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner while maintaining the area concerned in a clean and tidy condition.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pack and prepare all KFC food products according to quality standards.
  • Adhere to approved KFC holding times and temperatures for all food products.
  • Portion ingredients and cooked products using approved procedures.
  • Hold all raw and cooked products to standard holding periods and temperatures in the appropriate equipment.
  • Follow standard procedures and schedules for cleaning and sanitising food preparation and storage areas, equipment and utensils.
  • Capture product preparation information and monitor product quality by checking and acting upon expiration dates and times for products.
  • Keep all areas and equipment clean and tidy
  • Approach and treat the customer in a courteous, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Sell the company’s products using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Operate the cash register following all KFC cash handling and safety procedures.
  • Undertake further tasks as required by management to facilitate the efficient running of the restaurant.
  • Adhere to all brand and company culture principals
  • Comply with all rules, regulations and working practices at all times including those relating to grievances.

  • Act like a customer maniac by achieving compliance standards and delivering 100% CHAMPS (Cleanliness, Hospitality, Accuracy, Maintenance, Product and Speed of Service) with a Yes attitude!
  • Perform other duties from time to time as requested by the Restaurant General Manager / Restaurant Manager / Shift Supervisor

  • Ensure that you increase sales by executing CHAMPS and suggestive selling as directed by management.
  • Know about new products and promotions and serve customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Open, operate and close restaurant following procedures and checklists.
  • Prepare all menu items according to specifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate will have the following background and competencies:

 Min Qualification required

  • Grade 10 certificate or relevant qualification.  Grade 12 certificate will be to your advantage.

Basic Requirements

  • Experience in the Fast-Food Industry and or hospitality will be an advantage.
  • Must be able to work shifts, public holidays and weekends due to the nature of the industry
  • Reliable, honest and hardworking
  • MUST have at least 2 professional contactable references
  • Clear criminal record
  • Valid South African ID
